The Braveheart Room

The Braveheart Room is the most luxurious room in Highland Manor. It is large and spacious with expansive views of the Highland Manor estate grounds. One can see a wonderful view of the majestic Mount Aeolis toward the north across the Dorset valley when rising in the winter mornings. The sunrises are spellbinding as the easterly sun spills into the room throughout the year. This room has wonderful ornate molding throughout, a comfortable king size bed, writing desk, wireless internet access, his and hers bureaus with lots of shelf space, original oil paintings of the Vermont landscape from the renowned artist Ann McFarren, beautiful window draperies, a padded wall with Scottish lowland scenes depicting a time when William Wallace and Robert the Bruce lived. The enormous bathroom has twin sinks, a large shower, and private toilet. This room was deliberately left without TV nor DVD for those who wish to savor their intimate company and quiet moments with each other.

Robert Burns Room

The Robert Burns Room (named for the Scottish Poet and national literary hero), is a very large and comfortable room with wide pine floors, the wonderful ornate molding which exists throughout the Manor, Flat screen TV with remote, his and hers maple bureaus with much of space, a very comfortable queen size maple pencil post bed, original Ann McFarren oil paintings, its own walk in closet, and a private full bathroom with cedar lined inlaid shelves, a cozy window seat, and wireless internet access.

Highland Loch Room

The Highland Loch Room has splendid comfort with its queen size bed, and excellent closet space. It contains his and hers separate bureaus, wireless internet access, and a large full bathroom with twin sinks and a private toilet and bathing room and, if you have kids, the Taymouth Castle room, which ajoins this room, can be accessed through the shared bathroom; making this pair of rooms ideal for parents with children. Highland Manor also has children's cots and a comfortable Travel Crib that can be rented by parents for their kids. The room is adorned with more of the McFarren original oil paintings. The Highland Loch Room has the added feature of his and hers reading lamps and has some architecturally interesting features such as curved walls and two adorable window seats.

Taymouth Castle Room

The Taymouth Castle Room (named for the Scottish Castle in Kenmore, Scotland) has a northerly view of the Highland Manor estate which brings in the morning sunlight ushered in by Mt. Aeolis looming within the north easterly vista. The room features an original water color painting of Taymouth Castle done by Earl of Highland Manor, as well as other Scottish flavored artwork. This room has a comfortable queen bed, an antique oak 19th century bureau with looking glass, and inlaid cedarlined shelves for easy storage. It has a spacious closet, bathroom with twin sinks and separate showering and toilet room. It is equipped with a newly upgraded flat screen TV, wifi internet access and sits next to the upstairs library lounge area for easy reading access.
